Hello!
My name is Jo Zhou (jō jō); I am an artist and graphic designer based in Chicago. I was born and raised in Beijing. Prior to moving to Chicago, I lived and worked in San Francisco and Atlanta. I have 10 years of experience working in art and design, including gallery, auction house, and art consulting for hospitality. My curiosity guided me through my career and prepared me to better understand and connect to my clients. I love listening to people’s stories, learning about their passion, and helping to create a visual narrative that speaks for them.
Since I was a kid, I was always fascinated by Tangram. It is so simple yet full of possibilities. It challenges the imagination and also requires problem-solving skills. That is just like my approach to design — it should be fun, flexible, and solve problems with delightful surprises.
When I am not working on design and art projects, I am taking care of my plants, working on jewelry, and tinkering around the house while listening to old cassettes.
